The ingredients must have come to me in my sleep. The more I use my slow cooker, the more I love it.

This salmon is so delicious on it's own. I decided to cedar plank the salmon on the grill, and drizzle it with some cayenne lime butter.

After having a bite of the Chipotle Chicken Tacos my coworker brought for lunch a couple of weeks ago, this was my dinner two days later.

If you know me you know I am a sucker for avocado and chipotle. I used a rotisserie chicken so it's super easy to make.

Egg, Prosciutto & Tomato Muffins
Sriracha Meatballs

I'm a big fan of savory muffins. These are pretty much mini omelettes in a cup. They are perfect for weekend brunch, and even better to make ahead for the week and then pop them in the microwave.

Tom Douglas' Hot Pepper Wings with Cilantro Sour Cream

Hot Pepper Wings with Cilantro Sour Cream

Tom Douglas is THE chef out here. He owns a ton of restaurantsand the ones I have tried have been fantastic. Can't wait to check more off my list! When I had these wings at his restaurant, Palace Kitchen, I immediately came home to see if they were in his cookbook that I have.

And we're in luck!

I'm a big fan of the grilling technique in this wing recipe, it was pretty hands off and they cook fairly quick. I'm definitely going to be trying to make the Asian Style Baked Wings on the grill next. I think it would be an easy method to use when entertaining and they turned out really juicy.

A few things were off in the execution of the wings...they may have been marinated after a night out at the bar and some reading comprehension issues may have been involved. Regardless, they were still declious and I'll definitely be making these again. I love wings. And the Cilantro Sour Cream

Grilled Asparagus & Goat Cheese Polenta Cakes

I'M BACK!

Hopefully you guys didn't miss me too much and you were as entertained with Mr. KMW's post as I was. I had no idea that he had this up his sleeve, and when I happened to see it pop into my newsfeed I was happily surprised.

I was away on business last week, and spent my days at the LA Convention center in Video Game insanity at E3 (a video game conference).

E3

After an exhausting week, I took the train out to the burbs where my brother and sister-in-law live and spent the weekend getting some fun in with my nephews. They're pretty awesome kids.

Monkey in the Middle was involved.

Now onto the food!

As I'm getting back into the groove, I'm starting off with a simple recipe. With Asparagus in season I thought it would be perfect timing for

Buffalo Chicken Burgers

Buffalo Chicken Burgers

We LOVE all things buffalo in our house, and these buffalo chicken burgers surpassed all of our expectations. And no, it wasn't because we have low expectations.

This is why...

Buffalo sauce was mixed into the chicken patties and then more was slathered on while grilling.

Blue cheese crumbles were mixed into the patties, just look at it oozing out below.

and, I added shredded carrots into the patties, so that means I could tell myself they were healthy :)

Buffalo Chicken Burgers 2

The burgers were then topped with avocado and immediately devoured. These were seriously so good, if you are a fan of buffalo sauce or my Pulled Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches these are a must try!

Thanks to Stefanie over at Sarcastic Cooking, her tweet about the Buffalo Turkey Burgers she made were my inspiration. It also made me want buffalo wings for breakfast.

Pepperoni and Spinach Stromboli

Pepperoni and Spinach Stromboli

So I know this isn't pretty, but if I can't be honest with you guys when I screw up, what kind of imaginary internet friends are you?

This is what happens when you squeeze in making a stromboli in between a bloody mary filled brunch and the Super Bowl. Despite the gaping hole it didn't disappoint! It's so good when it's fresh out of the oven and the cheese is oozing, you have to try this recipe out.

This is Dennis' ridiculously easy and tasty stromboli recipe, I've seen him serve it (without a hole) many times and it's always a crowd pleaser. Dennis usually stuck with just cheese and pepperoni, but I decided to throw in some spinach. I convinced myself that the nutritional value of the spinach would offset the cheese and pepperoni. That makes sense, right? You can easily

Grove Pointe Chili Club

Before our move to Seattle, we had to have our final Grove Pointe Chili Club Meeting. And it was another success, the chili was devoured! I'm sad to see Chili club end, but we definitely got some great recipes and had some good times.

Beef Chili

Anyone else tempted to dunk their head into this pot of chili?

Amanda was the cook this time around, and she made a true Texas chili with no beans. It had a nice kick, a heck of a lot of beef shoulder, lots garlic cloves and overall great flavors.

Beef Chili 2

Doesn't Amanda have nice chili bowls? She bought them just for Chili Club and they were perfect.

Between Amanda's Beef Chili, Dennis' 8 Alarm Chili and my Beer Chili we have quite the arsenal of chilis to choose from. I know what I'll be making when I need to warm up on a cold and rainy day in Seattle.

Who wants to start a Seattle Chili Club?
